I realize this may violate some no politics rule, but since there are no US news venues talking what can you folks from across the pond tell us about the G.W. Bush war crimes trial. All I can find are snippets from questionable internet sites.

This is the first I've heard of it.

Apparently, last Friday Former President George W. Bush and former vice President Dick Chaney along with 6 legal advisers were convicted of War Crimes by the county of Malaysia. This appears to have forced GW to cancel trips to a number of nations who have extradition treaties with Malaysia.

It just shows how the news can be blacked out. I've gone through a real news watching kick recently and heard nothing about this. Keep us informed if you hear anything else.

Strange that there's been nothing on social media sites as well.

There's quite a lot of people can't travel to certain countries for similar reasons. President SBY of Indonesia should be in the UK this week, but a couple of years ago he de-boarded a Garuda flight Jakarta-Amsterdam in case he was arrested on landing following a case by human rights groups on West Papua-Moloccas type stuff. Most Israeli generals can't travel to the UK on commercial flights, so avoid it in general due to cases in UK courts related to command responsiblity for operations in Gaza. Kissinger can travel to Switzerland, but that's about it in Western Europe. Quite a few Russians can't go to UK or connect on flights in the US. In the UK a case is going to make it difficult for some people from DRC and (North) Sudan. That's even before getting up to travel bans on leaders in places like Uzbekistan, Syria etc., but even when in force people get around them, or just head to Switzerland etc. Singapore is ok too, as long as you are not wanted by Interpol, in which case they will parade you around for ages before sending you off wherever. Blah.
