Name of Custom - Hood. Bio - Hood was born into a a Moscow mob family all through his childhood he saw the unfairness and chaos that the criminals brought to the world. On his 16th birthday he left his home and joined the Russian military to help bring order to his homeland. Outstanding throughout his training he quickly increased both his skills and his rank, however he soon found out that the military was as corrupt as the life he left behind. Around this time he was contacted by a Cobra recruiter who was looking for new members for Cobra Commanders bodyguard squad. The money was right and through Cobra he saw a way to bring a bit of order to the world. After 2 successfull years in Cobra Commander's service the tragic day that changed Hood's life. During a routine business trip to Eastern Europe Cobra Commander was attacked by the locals. Hood put his life on the line and his head and body were badly burnt, he called out to his comrades to help him but they just turned their backs and walked away. Left to die Hood was checked into a filthy hospital and left to rot. Fading in and out of conscienceness once again he was approached by a man of mystery. "The ones that have abandoned you need to be punished." the man told him. "The Baron rewards commitment and loyalty. He offers you the chance to be rebuilt by the finest surgeons. Once this is complete you will enter a competition to become the new bodyguard of the Baron and to crush your enemies. You will join the Red Shadows and bring order to the world". Hood nodded once and within the hour was being transfered to a private clinic in Geneva. Fighting Style - Systema, Sambo, Spetsnaz GRU hand-to-hand combat style. Weapons - Pistol, Cobra sword. Parts list - Head - Force Unleashed Sith Stalker. Upper body - Rohlan Dyer. Lower body - Cobra Commander. Arms - Luke Skywalker. Legs - Duke. Helmet and Sword - Cobra Commander. Pistol - Fodder box. Work done on custom - Matched upper and lower bodies together. Repainted body and head and Republic symbols on arms. Notes of special interest - The first time I've ever matched up Star Wars and GI Joe bodies so I'm quite pleased how it went. I wanted to create someone with a Darth Vader vibe to be Ironblood's bodyguard.

Name of custom - The Negative man Bio/ Background/ Origin - Jack Brown grew up on the back streets of London and his street fighting skills are second to none as the only way to get respect on the streets is with your fists. Jack has a very sharp mind and has unnatural charisma. He also has the inherant ability to plant negative thoughts into other people minds, to make them feel uncertainty and doubt with whatever they are doing, giving him an edge in every confrontation. He is able to do this using a unique version of mind control. Over the years he has trained his mind in conjunction with his mind control powers to make him unbeatable in hand to hand combat. To date there has been only one man who has been able to somehow block his powers. On a routine job Negative man met this unnamed man in a warehouse office. The office was darkness apart from a small lamp which revealed nothing about the person sat behind the desk as it only illuminated the desk and a portion of the man’s upper body but keeping his face in shadow. "Hmmm, this should be easy he thought only one punk to take care of!" but he could feel that the person behind desk had something dark and ominous about him that seem to seep out of him and cover the area in gloom just like the shadows covered the desk. He started to talk and even though he could not see the face in the shadow, he had a distinct feeling the man was grinning at him. "Is that so?" the voice behind the desk said. "I have heard about you and your petty mind games and they will not work on me" then he began to laugh. He has no memory of what happen next, only that cold laugh which even now echoed around his mind. The only clue he had to the man's identity is a piece of paper that he found in his pocket with the words scrawled in crude hand writing "The Red Shadows" Fighting Style - Street Fighting/ occult hypnotism Weapons - Poison bladed Machete, Kevlar gloves, a form of mind control. Parts list - Head - Resolute Storm Shadow Body - Movie Destro Machete - Indiana Jones Work done on the custom - Just an LBC really. Notes of interest - Assembled from parts from Dark Horse's fodder bag.

Name of custom - Malik Ibn Ini-Herit “Talon” Bio - Communiqué from Red Jackel to Baron Ironblood. "Baron, As instructed I have been travelling the Dark Continent in search of suitable applicants for the position of your personal bodyguard. I believe I have found a most promising candidate. His name is Malik ibn Ini-Herit. He is the eldest son of Falsad Ini-Herit, CEO of the Pharos Group. As you may be aware the Pharos group is currently the premier personal protection and army for hire organization in Egypt. Their family claims direct lineage to the personal honor guard of the Pharaoh Kufu. Genetic lineage and archeological evidence seems to lend credence to this claim. The Group guarantees the complete loyalty of each of their mercenary guards. It would seem that there have been multiple incidences in their families history where one family member has been pitted against another through due to contractual obligations to warring households. Death at the hands of another Ini-Herit seems to be a great honor was incurred in this manner. As a potential client I was allowed restricted access to a number of their files. I must admit Baron, their track record is both quite surprising and most impressive. I am also now certain of the fates of several of our former assassins. It would seem that the PG has had guards placed with some of our enemies who continue to elude our retribution. Malik himself would seem to be able to claim the deaths of at least two of the assassination squads sent against the Premier of Kazakhstan. “The Talon,” as he is referred to once a contract has been issued, is certified in weapons usage in an impressively wide variety of calibers, but it is his close quarters prowess that I believe you will find the most impressive. He has mastered the use of both the executioner’s scimitar and cybernetic interface body armor. I have secured a temporary contract with the Pharos Group. “Talon” has been paid and sanctioned to compete for a more permanent posting as your personal honor guard. I highly anticipate a most entertaining showing in the tournament. BLOOD FOR THE BARON. Red Jackel out." Fighting Style - Sebekkha “The Crocodile Spirit” adapted to both band-to-hand and the use of the Shamshir. Weapon and Equipment - Executioner’s Shamshir (Greater scimitar) Horus Power Claw Horus Power Armor Parts List - Power Armor: Modified and articulated Startgate Move Horus armor. Body and Arms: Cast copy of Toxic Blast Venom Legs: Marvel Wrecker Power Claw: Ironmonger upper arm with elbow joint from cast from TB Venom, Wink hand with custom cast claws and added ball and socket for articulation. Forearm armor: Cast Halo bits. Chainmail chest, back, and belt: Sculpted from Kneadatite Brown. Skirt Piece: Sculpted from Kneadatite Brown Scimitar: McFarlane figure Work Done on Figure - Except for the legs, sword, and armored forearm (Ironmonger upper arm) this entire figure is made of custom sculpted or cast pieces. The head armor was cast and then modified to both fit on the figure and to have full neck articulation. It was also filled with hot glue to create a socket for the torsos neck ball to pop into. The Ironmonger forearm dremmeled out so an additional forearm piece could be inserted to create an articulated elbow joint. The hand of the power claw was made from individually cast fingers and a cast Hellboy Blink Hand. The Chainmail was sculpted using Kneadatite Brown stuff. The Sculpt was rolled out in a thin sheet and the texture was applied. When the sculpt had cured it was cut to shape and size and glued to the figure. The skirt piece was made in the same way. The figure was primed in solid brown and then all areas were dry brushed with several different colors. No inks or washes were used to bring out the details. I made two different left arms and used hot glue to make the forearm socket. This way they are easily swapped out. Notes of Interest - This was my first time painting metallic gold and African skin tone. I think both came out very nicely. Also, other than the Krylon base coat, this figure was painted entirely with Wal Mart Brand craft paints.

I did have extra filler figs made, and Daremo was kind enough to lend me some, but then I thought I could do an eight figure bracket with four filler figures, or just a four figure bracket that includes way more photos and story. Will probably be way better this way. I'll include the filler figs I made in another part of the dio, just not in a bracket scenario. Will be like part 2 of Rise of the Maniac.
